Our Winter Bedroom

I feel like this has been a long time coming. I actually created a blog 3 years ago and was never brave enough to publish anything, or put it out into the world. This year I finally took a big step and created a home decor Instagram. The amazing community there and unwavering support is what gave me the confidence to start this new journey, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

That being said, my first post is my Winter bedroom! This is our first Christmas in this home and my first time to transition from Christmas to Winter decor.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you would have probably seen me post the before of this room. Trust me when I say, it was no easy task to get it to this point. We put up the board & batten, added the tongue & groove ceiling, and replaced all the flooring and trim. We also painted everything white and refreshed all the doors with my favorite green, Olive Grove, from Magnolia Home Paint.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my neutral winter bedroom. I’m loving the light, bright wintery vibes it’s giving me and I hope you are too.

Thank you so much for coming by the blog today! I’m excited to be posting more soon. If you want to see more of my Winter decor you can find me on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/secondchapterhouse/

This being my first post, I’d love your input! Comment below and let me know what you think.

  1. First off let me tell you your bedroom is one of my absolute favorite in all of IG land, from the wood whites and greens to the ceiling & batten. I swoon* I’m glad you’ve decided to start posting to your blog, I’m excited to see what’s next

  2. Your bedroom is totally drool worthy and also magazine worthy (imo). I own and live in a tiny vintage farmhouse that is just 570’sq feet, and so I enjoy seeing other farm houses being transformed by their occupants. My decor is also mostly white ish and neutrals but i use pops of green in a similar shade as yours. I look forward to seeing more posts and hope you stay true to your own style and avoid the hot trends where one’s home ends up looking like a cookie cutter farmhouse style which is always filled with the newest trend. You have a great eye for style and beauty. Many blessings to you and yours.
